Somerville asks residents to prepare for *possible* snow emergency
Just got this email from Somerville Community Alert system:
Weekend Storm Predicted. Please Plan Ahead.
We wish we were writing to simply say, “Happy Spring!” Unfortunately, Mother Nature isn’t quite finished with winter. So, as much as it pains us to say it, please prepare for the possibility of a snow emergency for this weekend’s storm. At this time, there is NO snow emergency in effect, however, because an emergency declaration is possible, if you are planning to go out of town for the weekend, please plan ahead and move any cars left behind to the odd side of the street (unless otherwise posted) before you depart. If and when the decision is made to declare an emergency, we will notify you via our usual channels, so stay tuned. In the meantime, think happy thoughts of spring!
(The email didn't include that link; I added it because it currently shows a 76% probability of more than 8 inches of snow)
