Poutine

A freezing day like this reminds me to share my recent discovery that poutine has been added to the menu at Eat At Jumbo's in Ball Square. Comfort soaked in gravy.

The owner told me (when I asked) that he unfortunately doesn't have local access to authentic cheese curds (the ones from Trader Joe's suck). But he substitutes what he described to me as "Vermont cabot," whatever that may be, and the flavor and consistency is similar to what I've had in Montreal. Gooey. Greasy. Glorious.

Everything is online. Click on the pictures of the paper menus at the bottom of the page. Pizza is the left most one. ( http://www.eatatjumbos.com/pizza.html ) Poutine is a "side", third from the left. ( http://www.eatatjumbos.com/burgers.html )

I'm talking about the order online link, not the pictures of the menus

Oh okay. Well there's always the old fashioned method of picking up the phone and calling them. ;-)

Sometimes that's hard though ;)

(I prefer ordering online if I'm using a credit card, otherwise I will normally call. Or as was the case tonight, actually walk there!)

And either I was blind last night or they've fixed it since, but everything is there now!
