Poutine
A freezing day like this reminds me to share my recent discovery that poutine has been added to the menu at Eat At Jumbo's in Ball Square. Comfort soaked in gravy.
The owner told me (when I asked) that he unfortunately doesn't have local access to authentic cheese curds (the ones from Trader Joe's suck). But he substitutes what he described to me as "Vermont cabot," whatever that may be, and the flavor and consistency is similar to what I've had in Montreal. Gooey. Greasy. Glorious.

Re: Poutine
It's funny that Poutine should come up. I was also excited to see it on your menu and ordered it via Campus Food on 12/11/09. I ordered it at 10:15, the confirmation arrived at 10:22 and the food did not show up until 11:50 and was stone cold.
I did not complain because I figured why bother, but since you are posting here I thought I'd let you know what happened. Could Poutine makes me sad :-(
