Buy With Me: $5 for $10 at Spike's!

good, snacky sort of deal today: $5 for $10 at Spike's. Mmmm. Spike's.

Wait, got distracted. Anyway, one thing to note about today's deal is you have to specify WHICH location you want to redeem your coupon at. So remember to note Davis Square if that's where you want to eat. You can buy up to FIVE for yourself and as many as you want for other people (who you can then ask to take you out!). You can also combine them, should you want more than $10 of food at Spike's at a time.

ObDisclaimer: if this is your first BuyWithMe purchase, I get site credit. I am unemployed and will likely spend it on Spike's vouchers. Mmm. Spikes.... Err. Sorry.

Note on disclaimer: if you need a bartender or web developer, email me. Extra special bonus if you want me to do both in the same workplace.

When [livejournal.com profile] thorbol and I were looking at this deal, we went to the Spike's menu page, but there was no menu there we could read. Is it graphical? And what is their price range anyway?

I'm getting tired of these restaurant web sites in which I can't read the menu. I'm thinking of calling them up and explaining very politely that I was unable to read their menu on the Web, and would they please read it to me over the phone. And being implacably sweet.

I give Spike's a lot of credit - they do a very good job. As 808 noted, the buns there are special, but the dog itself is also up to snuff (meat, I mean; I haven't tried the veggie one but I think I will now). t

Spike's is one of the few places around here to keep the hot dog banner flying, Speed's being the other really prominent example. The place I miss is the old Chicago Dogs place that was in Harvard Square many years ago - they sold real-deal Chicago hot dogs in the traditional way, which is a very fine thing.
