Posting for my housemate ...

The Somerville Coffee Party's second meeting will be tonight at 7:00 PM at 14 Herbert Street (behind Redbones). The Coffee Party is a nonpartisan group of people who believe that government can be a force for good in the world, if we come together to build the democracy we deserve.

At our meeting tonight we'll be planning an event to celebrate local success stories--the people and organizations that make our community and democracy work. We'll also talk about ways our government fails to live up to our ideals--and how we can use the tools we have to change it for the better. Join us!

You can get a better idea what we're about by checking out the minutes from our last meeting, over at Somerville Voices.

Looking to get a perm soon, and I know that can be a bit tricky--any recommendations on who's good at inducing that supercurly natural-girl look?

Also, I'm finally fed up with the leg-waxing at Davis Square Nails & Spa; they're cheap and fast, but I always end up with leftover wax on my legs and not a whole lot less hair. Other recommendations? I don't really care about the Salon Experience--I just want smooth legs.

Spring Clean Up Canceled due to rain, thunder, and lightning!

It will be re-scheduled in the next few weeks!

REMINDER! ANNUAL SOMERVILLE SPRING CLEANUP, SAT. MAY 8th, 10:00AM-12:00PM,

Ward 6: Davis Square, Statue Park

This is a great event for anyone who would like to help clean up the city. Typically we collect dozens of bags full of trash from around Ward Six. Kids, especially, enjoy this event - believe it or not!

Alderman Rebekah Gewirtz and I (Paul Bockelman, School Committee) will be at Statue Park to help get you started (and give you a cup of coffee).

Special Note: if you see areas in Ward Six that are collecting trash or need attention, please email me or Rebekah!

See you Saturday!

Paul
