I was given a pack of "Boston Dining Cards" (which bill themselves as a charity thing, but only give $1 from each box to charity and an insert implies that you have to register the box online in order for them to do that) and have been giving them away throughout the year but still have more to go. They all expire on December 31, so you've only got two weeks left to use them. Please only claim what you will use. Pickup in Davis Square.

They are good for a $10 discount off a food bill of at least $30.

Registration is now open for Somerville Open Studios 2013

SOS is a city-wide Open Studios event promoted throughout Greater Boston and beyond. SOS draws art loving crowds and connects artists to our community. We run a free Trolley service around the city connecting studios, mount a group show open to all participating artists, host events to further promote Somerville artists, and much more.

To participate you must create visual art (any media) and either live in Somerville, or maintain a working studio in Somerville. We have a limited amount of Community Space available for artists whose art-making space is really not something that can be open to the public (maybe you're up four flights of stairs and have three two-year-olds running around?).

Registration closes January 31st, and late registrations will not be accepted.
Register today at www.somervilleopenstudios.org

If you want to register in person, or if you wnt to just stop in and say Hi, we'll be at Bloc 11 today accepting registrations from 4:30pm to 6:30pm. (We'll do a Diesel event in January, as well).

Steve and Amber Tourlentes (Somerville residents and lecturers at MassArt) will discuss Kodachrome vs. Ektachrome, digital editing, simulating the Kodachrome palette (Instragram), and more...  See the poster. This will be good folks. Plus we'll have, you know, cider and donuts...

3 p.m. at the Central Branch of the Somerville Public Library (79 Highland Avenue, Somerville, MA). Bus #88 or #90.

For further information see Friends of the Somerville Public Library event page or email James Fox at [email protected].
