Hi Everyone,

I'm looking for a store that will have nice rings (eg the stones are real) but isn't too expensive. Any ideas?

Thanks!

I have a ring that needs to be resized. Any good jewelry repair places in the area? How long does it take and how much does it usually cost? I'm clueless about these things so any suggestions would be appreciated.

Are there any jewelers in the area (even further into Boston, if there's no one local) who work with/can fix ivory? I have a bracelet with a cracked bead, and I'd like to get the bead fixed somehow--or the bracelet restrung without it. Are there jewelers around who could do this? How much does something like that cost?

(Before anyone jumps on the "ivory is poaching and you're evil for owning it" train, I should point out that this is fossilized mammoth ivory; the animal very clearly was done using it several thousand years ago.)

Hi neighbors!

I bought watch and the bracelet is too big. Can you direct where it can be fixed - need to take out a couple of sections/links?

thanks in advance!
Kate

P.s. it's not a rocket science and I can try tp do it myself, but the screws are so small - can hardly see them... and I don't want to scratch the watch.

Anyone know of places in the area that appraise watches and jewelry?

How about places that buy old gold?

Thanks.

Do you guys know of a good, affordable local jewlery repair shop? My Star of David broke off of its chain and I hope to have it fixed before Hanukkah... I could go to this place I went to before in Harvard Sq., but I'd prefer to stay in town. Thanks!
