There've been many songs written about the eternal triangle. This one tells the story of a Mr Jonmon, a LiveJournal community and a moderatin' man named Ron Newman. When the sun rises tomorrow, Ron Newman... will be served.
Hang down your head, Ron Newman
Hang down your head and brood
Hang down your head, Ron Newman
Oh boy, we've all been sued.
We read it on the LJ
This Jonmon had been bad
Read it on the LJ
And there we laughed like mad.
Hang down your head, Ron Newman
Hang down your head and brood
Hang down your head, Ron Newman
Who knew this was a feud?
We forgot about it all, then
We let three whole years pass
We got on with our lives, then
We're put on by this ass.
Hang down your head, Ron Newman
The one who was least rude
Hang down your head, Ron Newman
Yet he thinks you're the dude.
Trouble, oh there's trouble
For all Does, Jane and John
He sent us all nice letters
Some found him on their lawn.
Hang down your head, Ron Newman
Hang down your head subdued
Hang down your head, Ron Newman
Oh boy, we've all been sued.
This time tomorrow
Reckon where we'll be
Prob'ly banding together
As one weird family.
Keep your head up, Ron Newman
Keep your head up this time
Keep your head up, Ron Newman
Jonmon won't see a dime.

Eater.com says that the Rosebud Diner will close on Sunday, May 12.

A local band called the_Stampede says they are playing "Rosebud's last show ever" on Saturday, May 11:

Rosebud's is DONE.
Their last show is next Saturday.

the_Stampede is setting our guns to DESTROY.

We are on at 8pm SHARP. SO BE THERE.

But Rosebud Bar & Grill's Facebook page says:

Update on the sale and closing of the Rosebud: Between last night and this morning something has changed the closing of the sale was scheduled to happen on the 15th of May. But I was informed by the owners of the property that things have changed and we will still be here for the next month or so, maybe longer it everything falls apart with the sale(fingers crossed) Sorry about the confusion I will keep folks informed as this goes along but for now we are still here

Anyone know what's real here?

Apparently the Highland Laundromat near Davis Sq. closed some time within the past week or so--it looks as if the washers & dryers have been taken out, floors being ripped up, etc. One of the ladies at the antique store next door said that it had been bought by someone who owns 5 other laundromats in the area (sorry, no idea which ones), and that he would be renovating this one and reopening it at some point in the future; she had no idea of when that would be, however. Does anyone have any better idea of what's going on over there?

(Since Royal White closed a few years ago, I suppose this means that those of us who used this laundromat will have to go to the one in Ball Sq. or Gold Star further down Highland Ave. near the hospital; either way, I'm not looking forward to it. Not to mention that I'll miss the nice older Chinese couple who worked there... *sigh*)

Really beautiful table and twin bed (prob from 50s/60s) available for sale. $50 a piece or best offer.  Both were recently the stars of an art show, and need to find a home very quickly.

Sadly, the delicious crocheted goodies on the table are not available.

Both are at The Nave Gallery Annex in Davis Square.  We have another show going up immediately, so if you are interested and can come by Tues night for pick-up (6-8 pm), or Wed (6-7 pm), you get special brownie points. If you can't make it then, we can arrange something.

The twin mattress may also be available, but I need to confirm that.

Thanks,
Tori
