Anybody know any reputable DJs (for weddings) that they'd recommend? Professional and not hammy and listen when you say, "Don't play the Chicken Dance?"
Ken Doucette did mine and he was awesome. he's based in waltham and honestly i can't reccomend him highly enough. he will do WHAT YOU TELL HIM and he was very professional (tux, neat setup). two couples who attended our wedding used him for theirs and we heard him at a friend's wedding before ours and got his name that way. he's great! I don't have his number on hand but i'm sure you can google him or check a phone book. good luck whatever you decide!
My now-ex and I had DJ Brother Cleve (http://www.palomaragency.com/talent_cleve.htm) at our wedding. He doesn't even own the Chicken Dance. He is rather hard to get ahold of though... but if you want something a little different from the sappy, cheesy, R&B, Celine Dion norm, he's a great option. I have his email address at home somewhere, reply if you want it. He's also ordained in the Church of the Subgenius, so he can officiate if you *really* want to piss off your parents.
Eric Walker at http://www.qnrproductions.com did our wedding. Fishbone, deep tracks by The Clash, ethnic songs, and "The Electric Slide" in case your relatives demand it.
