Volvo owners in the area know that Swanson Auto is the right place for weird problems. Since Volvo almost brought me to bankruptcy I switched to a Subaru and now I'm looking for the local subaru magician. Where do you take your outback?

PS: for people who wonder about subarus and their bumper stickers - the dealers have tons of free stickers so you can put on your habitat for humility sticker before leaving the car lot.

an auto repair shop just off medford street.

here is a website with contact info and reviews:

possibly worth noting that they will also pick you up and drive you to and fro. (i didn't know this until recently, they are an easy bike ride from davis and readily accessible by bus as well.) and if it's for something quick and you wanna wait, iirc they have wireless access :)

ABJ has essentially no waiting room. There's 2-3 chairs in a crowded office area, with no space for someone to walk past if you are waiting. There are nummy restaurants nearby! I prefer to use just their "drop you off" offer, and find my own way there (the 101 or the 90? or 80? from lechmere work well) Getting picked up at a T stop such as sullivan or davis feels weird to me, as their drivers aren't always recognizable to me and my mommy and daddy instilled a wariness of not getting into a car with a stranger. But they do pick up people, and I've used that service of theirs too.

if you live/work near davis, sullivan, or porter, they are apparently willing to do door-to-door at least sometimes, too :)

(i admit i usually just ride my bicycle, or even walk. check a map to see if this is feasible for you individually, of course....)

Take your car over to Vinnie's Autosport on McGrath. (196 Monsignor Obrien Highway)
Tell him that Ian sent you.

He's absolutely great with Subarus, does complete check overs, not just what problem you may be having. Great guy.

What's the problem you're having? I'd also do some research on www.nasioc.com
