adjustment of a watch band?

i just got a watch through mail order, and it needs to be adjusted with eeny jewellery-type tools (it's wooden and too large and clearly designed to have links taken out).
is there any place davis-ish that would perform this type of service? or should i just plan to purchase some eeny screwdrivers myself?
