Anyone know what's up with "Offshore Radio", currently broadcasting at 88.5 FM? I first heard it a few nights ago, when they were playing an entire Led Zeppelin concert (circa 1971, I think). I guess maybe it's all classic rock (although not just the standards): tonight I've heard them play T.Rex, the Byrds, and the Who. The guy claims he's actually on a ship, but I'm thinking maybe that's just a ruse (playing up the "pirate radio" angle). Anyway, it's kinda cool, and I guess I don't want to blow their cover, but I'm curious to find out what their story is.

I'm not sure. I didn't find it listed at http://www.radio-locator.com/cgi-bin/finder?sr=Y&s=T&state=MA

There is an NPR station in Amherst on 88.5 that you can sometimes hear in
Boston, but there isn't anything like that on their schedule.

Sometimes pirates do turn up here though.

As far as broadcasting from a ship that could just be hype, but on the other hand that's been done before by pirate broadcasters.
