Hello, this is Jackie Rossetti from the City of Somerville with important snow-related information. A snow emergency has been declared effective starting at 5 a.m. on Mon., Feb. 8. To avoid getting a ticket or being towed, vehicles must be moved to the odd-side of the street (unless otherwise posted), or to a city or school parking lot by 9 a.m. on Monday. Because parking is not enforced on Sundays, you can begin parking in these lots immediately tonight, and may remain there until the emergency is over. If possible, please consider sharing driveways with neighbors to create additional parking spots for those without driveways.
Somerville Public Schools and all public libraries will be closed on Monday, and all recreation activities are cancelled. Trash and recycling pickup will remain on a normal schedule.
For more information about Somerville’s snow policies, please visit http://www.somervillema.gov/snow. If you have a non-emergency question or service request, please call 311 (or 617-666-3311 from cellphones or from outside the city). In case of emergency dial 911.
