Just got this email (and slightly irritated that it wasn't announced further in advance – I would have liked to have been there, and could have, if given adequate warning) concerning the MassAve corridor:
The Town of Arlington, the City of Cambridge, and the Massachusetts Bay Transportation Authority (MBTA) are collaborating on a bus priority pilot funded by a grant from the Barr Foundation. The pilot, coming fall 2018, will include features of Bus Rapid Transit (BRT) on Massachusetts Avenue, serving the MBTA Routes 77, 79, and 350, with the goals of reducing traffic congestion and lowering carbon emissions. Come learn more about bus rapid transit, Arlingtons bus priority pilot project, and the successful bus priority pilots in other communities.P.S. if any of you go, please report back!
A public meeting will be held on Wednesday, May 16. Details about the meeting time and location are below. For more information on this public meeting, visit the Town of Arlingtons project website here [ https://www.arlingtonma.gov/Home/Components/Calendar/Event/18464/3711?curm=5&cury=2018 ].
