i need to get a bridesmaid's dress altered near davis. i have gotten simple alterations done by eleni, but wasn't sure how she fared in the formal dress area (she doesn't come off as super fashionable but i could be wrong).
also, if you can approximate how long and cost, that'd be great.

i need to get a bridesmaid dress tailored.
i also need to get some pants hemmed.
i may also need to get a tear repaired in a leather jacket.
looking for cheap and good. if you could approximate the costs, that would be great.

Videographers?

I'm getting married in June and my fiance and I would like to have a video of our wedding (some very important family members can't make it for health reasons and we would like to still be able to share this with them). I was wondering if anybody here has any recommendations for videographers, since I have absolutely no clue where to begin! I've looked on theknot.com, but my guess is that is just a small portion of the options.

I would like to get price ranges (if you know offhand what you paid), and what sort of style the person had. I know nothing about wedding planning and I dont know when I am supposed to start doing the steps towards the date :)

magpie-leah.livejournal.comHello! Has anyone had a really good experience with a bridal dressmaker in the area? Davis Sq or Boston-area generally? My wedding is 2 months away and my vintage wedding dress just recently suffered some damage. (Boo!) It needs a good amount of overhauling to be fixed but the design of the dress is very simple. So I don't think it will be too hard. Any recomendations would be greatly appreciated!
Wedding Location?

We're looking for good food and a space for about 3-4 hours--could be a restaurant, hall, or some other creative space.
Some considerations:
Parking--not everyone on our guest list is T-friendly. Valet parking might be an option.
Stairs--some guests won't be able to handle stairs too well.
Dancing--we don't require it, but some people are all about the dancing when it comes to weddings--we don't want to disappoint!
My fiance and I have been living here for three years, and really want to have our wedding in this community because we love it so much!

The bridal shop costs a lot (!) and I have to believe there's some awesome tailor/seamstress tucked away who charges less.
